Our Healing Nations staff conducts a socio-economic survey with each family that we serve in the medical clinic. This survey helps us to identify the severity of impoverished living conditions that affect the health and well-being of families and to prioritize meeting the basic living needs in a truth-centered and compassionate approach.
For example, instead of giving ongoing medication to treat parasites from drinking unclean water, we provide clean water filters and education to prevent parasites altogether. These compassion projects allow us to get to the root of the problem and give us an opportunity to share compassion and truth about Jesus.
Our Healing Nations compassion projects consist of:
- Construction/repair of homes
- Providing nutritious food bags
- Delivering fuel efficient stoves
- Providing water filters and clean water education
- Bible distribution and discipleship
By uniting medical outreach and compassion projects, we can be intentional to share the love of Christ through meeting the physical and spiritual needs of the community.
