With their trip post-poned from the beginning of 2018, Mountain View and Parkside churches will be looking to return to Nueva Florida, Honduras in continuation of the partnership with Cristo Centro Peñasquitos and its pastor, Mario Jimenez, in 2019.
Day 2: Compassion and Care
Tonight, it's Mother-Daughter night on the blog! Anna is our optometrist and served in the medical outreach today and Clara, her daughter, spent the morning repairing the roof of a man who has been coming to the outreach for years! From Clara: The second day of working in Guatemala was a very memorable one! Being with the compassion team was a different experience from the medical outreach yesterday, but still very new and exciting.

From Jordyn: Today was an exciting day! It was the first day we got to actually work and open the outreach center. I worked triage and got to meet many people from around the area. The language barrier was hard, but throughout the day it became easier to pick up on certain words and phrases. Everyone was so nice and grateful, and it felt great to know I was making a difference. Today we began a new project in the mountains of Patizcia. As we traveled to our destination, the landscape began to open. Often when traveling through the city streets, your view is obscured by the walls and gates of the city. As we drove further the hills and countryside revealed themselves.
