MOUNTAIN VIEW FELLOWSHIP – HONDURAS 2022
After a long break due to travel restrictions caused from the ongoing pandemic, Mountain View Fellowship is excited to return to Honduras in continued partnership with Cristo Centro Peñasquitos.
A Great Day
Our post isn’t as exciting as others. We mostly just held adorable babies all day. Today the children learned about the Armor of God. We talked about the Belt of Truth, Breastplate of Righteousness, Helmet of Salvation, Shield of Faith, Sword of the Spirit, and the Boots of Peace. The children also had fun playing a couple of games. Volunteers also had fun learning games the kids taught them from the Haitian culture. -Kasey
Love is in the air
Today is Valentine’s Day…back at home and here in Haiti. Our day was not filled with candy, flowers, and all the hallmark versions of how we normally spend celebrating Valentine’s day but rather it was a day truly filled with an authentic experience of love. Building Bridges
Building Bridges Today was a day about building bridges. This was the first day to meet our Haitian families. At the beginning, there were some awkward moments and fear of the unknown. Fortunately, one of our team members lead the way and broke the ice between cultures with her gift of humor and boldness. By the end of the afternoon, we had broken bread and laughed together. I am not the Great Physician
I’m writing today’s post from the skies over Miami as we fly home to Utah. It seems surreal to be typing on a computer in a climate controlled plane with clean water, Wi-Fi and snacks. Alas, I’ve been tracked down to write the post though and can’t escape my duty this time….. We were told months before in our planning meetings that a highlight of the trip would be home visits. I definitely looked
