Day Four- Harvesting Happiness and Hope!
Today was another very full day in Guatemala! We attended church at Nueva Vida where the pastor preached about how God uses imperfect people. He concluded his sermon with three main points that came alive in our activities of the day! Point #1 – No matter what problems you are experiencing keep walking with God! We visited the clinic property and surveyed the progress of the building. Even among
Festival in Membrillal
Party...Fiesta...Festival...Carnival! Hey it's T! Guaty is good. Life is good. I hope all is well in Utah. Luv the comments. Post by Thomas …to add on to what Thomas said, today was an awesome day! We all had an amazing time playing soccer with the kids this morning, setting up for the festival, and spending time laughing and playing with the local Guatemalans during the festival. Our team was blessed with the opportunity to
God Working Through Us
Wow, what a week so far! We have done many things from cleaning up dirt and rubble, pouring concrete, and helping with festival activities. We have all been hit with some sort of stomach bug except for a small amount of us. Harrison was the one today that got it the worst, but he started feeling better and got back to work. Its an amazing sight watching all of us team members getting together
Guatemalan Joy
So today is our fifth day and so far this trip has been amazing. I have really enjoyed being around all the local Guatemalans and helping them build the church. The main thing that has really stuck out to me the most is how happy and grateful they are. They don’t have as much as we have, but they are very happy people. For example when we went to the youth group on Friday
Worshipping Together in San Lucas
-Harrison (Trip codename: Hollywood) So well, 4 days in and we got infected. Jordan, Thomas, Nicolette, Jacob Jones, and Corey all had a bug. Corey and Jacob are practically fully recovered however the others are still a bit out of it. I attended 3 church services today with Iglesia Galilea. Emma Champ and I performed with the church band here. Emma, being the #1 champ she is, killed it at both of the services.
Third Time Around
This year is my third year here in this beautiful country. I have loved every second of every trip and every year seems to get better and better every time. The work is always hard but everyone always puts 100% into every task we’re given. It’s only a few days in and I already miss home but I am so grateful for Guatemala and everyone who has supported me through what’s about to be
Feeling Grateful
I just want to start by saying how grateful I am. We haven’t been here for very long, only 2 days now, but God has already opened my eyes to how much we have and how we need to be grateful for it all. I was thinking about it today and realized that we never really stop to think about the things we have, instead we are always thinking about what we don’t have.
Being Resourceful
San Lucas seemed more lively than I had envisioned (having never been here before), with people out and about and a fair amount of traffic on a weekday afternoon. Several of us team members had crowded into two pickup trucks for a short run to dump some excess dirt from the church construction site. The beds of both pickups were filled with dirt in a big heap almost to the cab roofs. As we

The Last Day
From Erin: The Lord kept giving us 2 Chronicles 20. The lesson on Sunday was from that chapter. As in all of our evenings we had prayer, praise, and worship. But Wednesday night was different. Betsy and Joani came to us at lunch and asked if we could fast dinner. Betsy was being prompted to fast. We all agreed. Betsy and Noe were receiving messages about things in Tegucigalpa while we listened to testimonies.
The Kingdom House
From Adam: Today was the third, and final, day of Vacation Bible School here at the Villa in Honduras, and thanks to God it was better than I could ever have imagined. One of the goals our team established before heading south was to empower the older kids here by including them as part of the teaching team, stepping back, then hoping to watch them fly. And did they ever! We chose three teenagers:
