Day Six – Joyfully Exhausted
As we wrap up our last day of outreach, I can truly say I am joyfully exhausted. This week has been filled with very long days, but they have been some of the most memorable. As part of my role this week, I trained under our fearless leaders, Laura and Jenni! To say they made their jobs look easy is an understatement, and I am filled with such gratitude
Day Four!
From Dana: I’m sorry for the lack of pictures today! The night got away from me and everyone is in bed so I don’t have access to their cameras! I promise double pictures tomorrow. ;) To make up for it, there’s an adorable picture of an adorable baby we got to meet today. From Shawnda: Today was a bit slower for some (dental excluded!). We had the opportunity to serve Pastor Tono and his
Day Three- Antigua!
From Zoey: One of the many blessings people who come on this trip encounter is forming relationships with the people of Guatemala. Usually it’s with the people we meet in the clinic or on the home visits, but the relationships we make with people don’t have to be limited to the locals who come to the clinic. Today, while shopping in Antigua I had the privilege of getting to meet Cesar and his wife
Day Two
Today was a great clinic day! We saw around 130 patients! From Kelsey: Today was an awesome day. The kids here are so sweet, fun, and energetic. This is proven by me playing tag with these amazing kids for at least three hours today. They are creative and fun, but also some of them are really scared to go to the doctors and especially the dentist. One of the little girls today actually started
Day One!
Today was a busy and full day of clinic set-up and treating patients! Children’s Ministry had a great day with wonderful kids and even taught the kids about fluoride treatments! Today was also Leigh Anna’s birthday and she turned 16... again! ;) The blog entry below is written by Andre and Heather, our dynamic July doctor and dentist husband and wife duo. Thanks for reading and don’t forget to comment! We’ll read them together

Sharing Guatemala
LAST FULL DAY On our last full day in Guatemala, while the team prepared for the festival tonight in San Lucas, our roving reporter caught up with everyone and asked which memory would be strongest for them after we return home. Here’s what they had to say: Rachelle: The home visits, seeing where and how the people live. Your first thought is, “Wow it’s so gorgeous here” and it’s such an experience to be
Growing His Kingdom
It’s time for another Guatemala trip to come to an end. This has been such a great trip full of many experiences. This year’s team, even though it is smaller than past teams, seems to have accomplished much more than construction, a couple festivals, and home visits. We have laughed, cried, shared stories, and grown ever closer to God. Each trip is a new experience for me, I have met so many different people
It’s Festival Day
Hi guys! This is Rachelle, I’ve been going to Capital Church for about 18 months and this is my first trip to Guatemala! This trip has been mind-blowingly amazing! I’m not quite sure what all I expected coming into it, but I know it has been way better than I ever could have imagined. This team has been such a blessing to me, I am in awe of how well everyone has gotten along
God, the Shelter, and our Guatemala Kids
Hi my name is Noah. So all of my incredibly awesome friends who attended to capital church kept telling me about this amazing trip! It was the Guatemala mission trip! After five years of thinking and praying and asking a lot of questions, I finally accepted the fact that God was really trying to get me to go on this very special trip. And so far special, amazing and wonderful are all perfect words!
Wearing the Boots
Hola mis amigos! Ese me ur boi Tomas! Today we worked super hard. To begin the day off, we had to wear hard hats for the 1st time EVER!!! Almost everybody thought they were super uncomfortable but for me they were sweet!! It made me feel like I was BOB the Builder. Immediately after I got it, I ran to my room and sang the theme song for the boys. Anyway, we began the
