In our first home visit, we met a widow. She was about 60-70 years old. She had several children who live far away from her. She has one child who stays with here but he is just there for the night because he goes to work. We later gave her a food bag because she was in need of food. After we gave her the food bag, we prayed for her and her family.
In our second home visit, we met a married couple. They had children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. The man had diabetes, dementia, and an amputated toe. He had lots of struggles walking and sometimes he would fall. He had said how when it got cold at night, his toe would have tons of pain. He also said that he would rather just be with God than still be alive and be a burden to his family since they have to take care of him and all of his struggles. He couldn’t get medicine either to help him because when he went to the doctor, they only had certain medicines and they ran out of the medicine that he needed. The struggles for his wife was having to take care of her grandchildren while also cooking and doing laundry. We later prayed for them to get better from all of their pain and gave them the food bags.
Some of the things I liked about visiting these families today is how some of them can experience so much pain but still love and believe in God. Another thing is how they don’t really know us, but they are so welcoming, friendly, and share personal things with us.

You are doing such good work and the people seem so appreciative and loving. I am praying for you and the families that you visited in their homes.
